Last week, RESTORE held its Kick-off Meeting in Berlin. Maxing out the capacity of the venue, 200 representatives of supporters and partners came together for discussions, presentations and networking. We are humbled by the engagement and spirit of all involved in speaking, drawing and discussing over two packed days and making this event a success!
At the Kick-off Meeting, we have taken the first steps of formulating “The Advanced Therapies Roadmap for Horizon Europe” – a strategy that includes clear deliverables over the medium-term in pursuit of an ambitious long-term vision for 2030: A range of Advanced Therapy products on the market, having an impact in clinical routine, providing transformative patient benefit and being economically sustainable.
To achieve that goal, RESTORE is organised around Working Groups that tackle specific issues and those results will feed into the Roadmap.
Currently, the leaders of each Working Groups are summarising the discussions and will circulate draft documents next week, when they will be open for comments. To participate in these discussions, make sure that you have registered your interest in the relevant Working Groups.
You will be contacted by the Working Groups according to the preferences you indicated. We are looking forward to your input and keep you updated on the overall progress of RESTORE.
Save the date: We are excited to announce the RESTORE Science Event on 25 and 26 November 2019 in Berlin. This conference will highlight the science behind Advanced Therapies with a jam-packed agenda featuring leaders in science and technology development. Abstract submissionfor that conference will open soon – stay tuned for more details.
Raising awareness for Advanced Therapies is a key objective of RESTORE, we are working hard to put and keep the topic on the agenda of policy makers and the public at large. Please do follow RESTORE on Twitter and Facebook for updates (and much more), where you can also find the first photos and graphical impressions from the Kick-off Meeting.
The community behind RESTORE is broad and it has been a pleasure to engage with everyone; we are inspired by the shared ambition and dedication to move forward, making the promise of Advanced Therapies become a reality.
